Trouble
Trouble is ten years old, and weighs somewhere around 13-14 pounds (I haven't weighed her
in awhile). She's a rather small-boned kitty, so 13-14 pounds is pretty close to fat on her.
She likes Pounce treats, baby food, table food, attacking the unwary, sleeping, and beating on Jack.
She's never been able to jump, but has extremely sharp claws that she uses to climb where she can't jump.
She's a pet store baby, which wasn't
on purpose, but it was Christmas, and I had a pocket full of Christmas-shopping cash, and she was
in the window, so, I bought her. She grew up with Sara and Duncan, then moved to California with me, where
she was an only kitty for a year and a half. She hated being an only kitty, so in 2002, I got her a friend
kitty—Jack.
Jack
Jack is over five years old now. He hates any food that isn't his own, including table food and baby food, which to
me is very weird, but he does like running water, jumping and running,
laser pointers, and the neighbors. (And the neighbors love him, visit him all the time—he's their very
own rock star.) But he adores his mummy, often following me around
and tripping me up. He's even been known to squeeze himself in between me and Trouble during the
night (he can be very jealous). He has a loud scratchy meow that takes people off guard, but he's extremely
gentle and playful, a real sweetie. And fortunately he no longer pees wherever he damn well feels like it. And he likes knitted
things.
Sara
Sara is about twelve now. She's a sweet and gentle cat that lives with my sister in Massachusetts. Once
upon a time she lived with Duncan and Trouble, but Trouble moved here with me, and her brother
Duncan died in March of 2002. She likes Pounce treats, baby food, warm radiators and heating vents,
and being petted incessantly. She was an only kitty for about a year, until her mummy brought home Max,
who didn't like Sara (and it was mutual), so Max went to a new home, and Greta moved in, followed a couple of years later by Gabby.
Sara gets along much better with Greta and Gabby, i.e. she usually ignores them, and they usually ignore her.
Greta
I believe Greta is about five years old now. She was brought home from the PAWS cat shelter, where my sister used to
volunteer. She loves to play tag with Gabby and cuddle with her people, or any people, for that matter. She's incredibly soft, too.
Gabby
Gabby came to the sis very skinny and very shy. She's neither now, but she is still quite gabby, being very vocal in
stating her opinion on just about everything, from the status of the food in her bowl to playtime. She has big beautiful eyes and a
sweet disposition, as well as a talent for getting into trouble.
Cleo(patra)
Cleo is a beautiful Maine coon that lives with Fred. Her favorite toys are the plastic pull tabs from milk and water bottles,
which she carries around with her everywhere. She likes to sleep on the bed, and hangs out in the window to spy on the neighbors.
She also likes to play with her little sister C.C.
Cleo's Cat (C.C.)
C.C., also a Maine coon, is a wild critter that takes playtime very seriously--she plays to win. Watch out for her claws, but otherwise,
she's adorable. She also likes to hunt, and I wouldn't be surprised if she rules her neighborhood with an iron paw.
Rest In Peace
Duncan
Duncan was a big boy, much bigger than his sister Sara. He wasn't very bright, but he was loveable,
and usually pretty funny too. He liked toys that made him spin, laser pointers, Pounce treats, and beating
on Sara, and he had a crooked tail that always freaked people out. He and Trouble were buds until Trouble
moved to California. He got very sick and passed away March 6, 2002. He's still very much missed.
Skitzo
Skitzo lived with Mom and Fred in Massachusetts. She liked orange vegetables,
rabbits' feet, her purple plush foot, playing in the yard, and sleeping. She hated to be picked up, except
by me, for some reason. She was gruff and scruffy, but super soft, and absolutely beautiful. She ruled
her house and was serviced paw and foot by her mum and dad. She died January 20, 2004 at age 15.
