Visions 1999

It was July 24, 1999, the weekend of the Visions '99 Convention in Boston. Nicholas Brendon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was one of the guests of honor on Sunday, and I and the other Boston Bronzers from the buffy.com posting board had every intention of being in attendance, starting our morning off with a nice breakfast buffet at the Omni Parker House Hotel before heading to the Bayside Expo Center. In fact, we had even invited Nicholas to attend our breakfast, knowing full well there was only a snowball's chance in hell, but figuring we had nothing to lose. We contacted his agent, waited a week for a response before sending a follow up, then received the expected "Unfortunately..." letter. Oh well.

Little did I know that our weekend would be so wonderful, so perfect, so amazingly unbelieveable. The "Unfortunately..." letter became entirely unimportant.

Included in these pages are pictures - of Bronzers and of VIPs - from both Saturday and Sunday, taken at our Bronzer breakfast and at the convention itself. Also included, at the behest of my many Bronzer friends, is the story of my weekend, broken down into 17 parts. This story was originally posted in parts on the buffy.com Posting Board on July 26th, 27th and 28th, and in its entirety on July 29th. I hope you enjoy it.

The pictures have been edited for size to lessen downloading time, and therefore don't look as good as the full sized version. If you'd like a better quality copy of a picture, let me know and I'll pass it on. If you'd like to post any of these on your site, just ask.

Since the main focus of this event, and these pages, are Christopher Golden, James Marsters and Nicholas Brendon, I've included some relevant links on the right. Please check them out when you have a chance.
